This month we are pleased to announce our business of the month 3 Days in London, created by Cindy Eve.

Here’s her story:

Who are you, and what’s your business all about? Pitch your services to me!

Mother, Traveller, poet, published author, enjoys Personal Development, walking, cycling, photography, passionate about London and a would be camper-vanner with a zest for life & adventure!


3 Days in London is directly related to my passion for and about London; her secrets, history and magical places. I have created 6 step-by-step downloadable itineraries for visitors to London, that over 3 days gives them a thorough introduction to the wonders of the city. These itineraries will take them through 2,000 years of history, uncover some of the city’s best kept secrets as well as a stop at every one of the Top Ten Attractions, covering all three main areas of Greater London; City of London, Westminster and the West End of London. They meander through museums, around beautiful gardens, see Palaces and Cathedrals, modern and ancient buildings as they stroll along the historic streets of London; a magical journey that will give them memories of a lifetime.


How did you get started? If you had to do it again, what would you do  differently?

I am passionate about London, the history, the buildings, the marvellous things to see and do and the secrets places you have to search out.  A couple of years ago a friend off twitter mentioned she and her husband would have a 6 hour layover at Heathrow and could I suggest something for them to do in London. I set about creating an itinerary that would take them to some of the best loved places in London as well as some of the most iconic….and so the idea was born.


What have been the biggest challenges and how have you overcome it?

I work as a Carer and am away from home a lot, and during that time my schedule doesnt allow me much time to myself.  My biggest challenge has been to find the time to explore new places in London to blog about and then to actually write the blog as well as do all the other stuff that once needs to do on Social Media to create an interest.  I try to plan my time as carefully as possible.


What’s your best tip for maximising your business potential online?

To best way to maximise my business potential online is to be active on as many Social Media platforms as possible


How have most of your customers found you? Has this changed?

My customers have eithe found me via word of mouth or via my blog. Nothing has changed in this respect.


How important do you think use of social media is for businesses and why? Any favourite platforms?

Social media has been exceltionally important for my business as I aim to attract folks from overseas and UK citizens who are planning trips to London.  The best way to maximise that potential is by being online as much as possible. My favourite platform is Twitter, mostly due to the speed of exchange and also because you get to chat to folks from all over the world.


What’s been the most memorable experience you’ve had when dealing with a customer? (hopefully something they were pleased with!)

My most memorable experience was when someone from Liverpool discovered my free itinerary 6 Hours in London via my blog, used my suggestions and had a brilliant time in London. The testimonial was really heartwarming. 🙂


Do you actively research and look for cheaper or newer services for your businesses? Where/Who do you normally turn to for research and advice?

No, my services are purely internet based at present and the only research I do is creating new itineraries.


What’s next for your business?

The next step for the business will be to upload all the itineraries I have created onto kindle and to finalise the coffee table book that I started last year. I also plan to set up a meet and greet service for Overseas students for when they first arrive in London.
